Cadillac
In 1902, Henry Martyn Leland started the Cadillac Motor Car Company out of the defunct Henry Ford Company. Henry Ford's first car company had failed and Henry Leland was hired to help investors get rid of the assets. Henry Leland convinced them to start a different company which becomes the Cadallac Motor Car Company. In 1909 the Cadillac Company would be sold to Billy Durant and General Motors with Henry Leland staying on as Manager along with his sons. He stayed with Cadillac until 1917 when he would go on to start Lincoln. Henry Leland was a pioneer of interchangable parts and insisted upon precision when parts were manufactured.
The Picture Above shows a 1931 V-12 Cadillac number 14 off of the assembly line of the first V-12 Cadillacs manufactured in Canada. The Serial Number 3-5014.
